The approved provider must obtain an updated report from an external authority such as the Child Accident Prevention Foundation of Australia to outline the safety of the ‘McDonald’s style’ play equipment, within 3 months of receipt of
this letter. The approved provider must implement the updated recommendations outlined within a three-month period from the date of the safety report, which may include removal of the equipment. That playground equipment must not be used by children in education and care until those recommendations have been implemented.

The approved provider must review, update and submit to the Regulatory Authority, a copy of the quality improvement plan or self-assessment for the service every three months, for a period of two years, or until the service is rated at Meeting the National Quality Standards. The Quality Improvement Plan must include an assessment by the approved provider of the quality of the practices of the service against the National Quality Standard and any areas that the approved provider considers may require improvement and a statement of the philosophy of the service.
