Conditions on Approval
The approved provider must:
• Engage or appoint a suitably qualified and experienced staff member in the role of
nominated supervisor who is employed to work onsite at the service by no later than
two months from the date the conditions are imposed.
• A suitably qualified and experienced person is someone that as a minimum has at
least a Diploma level education and care qualification and has at least 3 years’
experience in an education and care service.
• Inform the Regulatory Authority in writing of the appointment of the nominated
supervisor once the appointment is made.
• Where a nominated supervisor has been appointed to work on site prior to these
conditions being imposed, the Approved Provider must submit details of the date of
appointment and the qualification and experience of the nominated supervisor to the
Regulatory Authority after the conditions are imposed.
The approved provider must:
• Ensure that an additional educator above ratio is engaged by the service by no later
than 30 days from the date the conditions are imposed. The role of the additional
educator will be to support the service to transition children and to enhance
supervision practices during transition times.
• Provide evidence to the Regulatory Authority of the engagement of the additional
staff by no later than 30 days from the date the conditions are imposed.
• Provide evidence to the Regulatory Authority that the additional staff member has
received induction and training in relation to supervision generally and specific
supervision practices of the services particularly in relation to children transitioning.
The approved provider must:
• Review risk assessments for all excursions and regular outings conducted at the
service.
• Submit the risk assessments for all excursions and regular outings to the Regulatory
Authority from the date the condition is imposed for a period of no less than 12
months.
• This condition is in place until 20 January 2024.
