NQF Snapshot Q3 2024

According to the latest National Quality Framework (NQF) Snapshot report, the overall quality of children’s education and care services continues to rise. The percentage of services rated Meeting National Quality Standard (NQS) or above increased from 58% in Q3 2013 to 82% in 2020. It now stands at 91%. 

This improvement demonstrates the continuous efforts of providers, teachers and educators who remain committed to delivering high quality education and care for children and young people attending their services. It is inspiring to see such collaborative efforts resulting in meaningful play and leisure opportunities that support wellbeing, learning, socialisation and skills development in safe and inclusive environments.

This quarter’s report also provides an overview of the children’s education and care sector. It describes, in detail, the trend in continuous quality improvement. It also includes raw data that is available to download. The report is supplemented by an interactive Online Snapshot with additional data on staffing waivers and other topics.
