International Delegation Request form

Visiting International Delegations Requests

ACECQA plays a crucial role in supporting the children's education and care sector in Australia. As part of this support, ACECQA is pleased to receive visits from international delegations where the proposed visit:

  • relates to the role and functions of ACECQA
  • demonstrates mutual benefits to ACECQA and the delegation
  • is based on sufficient information being provided to ACECQA to assess a request from an international delegation to visit and meet with ACECQA
  • is from a delegation which is a not-for profit organisation, government or academic institution or
  • is sought at an official level, in the following circumstances:
    • directly by the Australian Government
    • by the visiting delegation’s government through a consul or embassy
    • as part of broader activities co-ordinated by another jurisdiction or the Australian Government.

Criteria for approval

Requests for international delegations will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Alignment with Strategic Objectives: The visit should support ACECQA’s strategic goals and priorities.
  2. Mutual Benefit: The visit should offer clear benefits to both the visiting delegation and ACECQA, such as opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and relationship building.
  3. Relevance and Purpose: The objectives of the visit should be clearly defined and relevant to the mission and activities of ACECQA.
  4. Reputation and Standing: The visiting organisation or institution should be a not-for-profit, government or academic institution and have a good reputation and standing in their respective field or industry.
  5. Resource Availability: The business group hosting the delegation should have the necessary resources (time, personnel, facilities) to effectively support and coordinate the visit.

Application process

All requests must be in writing via the Visiting International Delegation Form below and be received by ACECQA at least 30 days prior to the proposed visit.

Any interpreter must be organised and paid for by the delegation. Visits are subject to acceptance by ACECQA under this policy and ACECQA having the available resources to meet with the international delegation at the requested time.
