Request a review of your skills assessment

If you have additional evidence or believe that evidence provided with your Skills Assessment or Provisional Skills Assessment application has not been adequately considered, you can request a review of your application.

If ACECQA has not adequately considered evidence that was provided with your application your case will be opened for review and the additional fee will be waived. If you want to submit additional evidence to support a review, you will need to pay the relevant review fee.

Step 1 

Discuss your outcome with your Case Officer
We strongly recommend you contact your Case Officer on 1300 422 327 before submitting a request for a review. Your Case Officer will be able to advise the additional evidence required to review your assessment.

 

Step 2

Provide the required supporting documentation for your application (if applicable)
If you are requesting a review based on additional evidence, prepare your supporting documentation for your review application

 

Step 3

Submit your application and make payment 

 

There is no refund if a review application is unsuccessful or if you choose to withdraw the application after it has been submitted.

Application process

ACECQA will email you within 10 working days once your application has been received. 

We are committed to completing your assessment within 15 business days from receiving all the information we require. If your application is missing information or documents, then the application process will be delayed.

Giving false or misleading information is a serious offence. ACECQA undertakes routine checks to verify the information provided in your application and conducts thorough checking of submitted documents. We will notify the relevant Australian Government Department and law enforcement agency where we have reason to believe that false or misleading information is provided.

Your Personal Information will be used and stored in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles which are set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our privacy policy.

After an assessment

Once your application has been reviewed, we will notify you of the outcome of your application by email.

If successful, you will receive a certificate* by mail and will be able to submit your skills assessment as part of a visa application. Note: a successful skills assessment does not guarantee your visa will be granted.

If unsuccessful, you will receive reasons for the decision. 

*Successful provisional skills assessment applicants do not receive a certificate.
