In Home Care Quality and Safety Project
We recently had the privilege of facilitating our second in person workshop for the In Home Care (IHC) Quality and Safety Project. This month over 60 IHC Service Providers and IHC Support Agencies, sector leaders and government representatives from across Australia attended the 2-day event in Sydney.
The agenda provided opportunities for participants to:
- discuss current program strengths and opportunities for improvement
- provide feedback to inform revisions of the draft IHC quality and safety standards
- share best practices, promote consistency and build a community of practice.
Delegates particularly valued the opportunity to network with colleagues and share strategies for embedding quality and safety principles in service delivery. Panel interviews with current and emerging sector leaders provided perspectives on opportunities and priorities for the project.
A big thank you to all our delegates and speakers who travelled from across Australia to contribute to this important work, which aligns with our 2024-2028 Strategic Plan's vision: All children have the best start in life through quality education and care.
We look forward to continuing the great momentum built at this event as we refine the refreshed national IHC framework and supporting resources to further support your commitment to safety and high quality education and care.
