ACECQA is a national entity overseeing important changes to early childhood education and care and school age care in Australia. The ‘National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care’ began on 1 January 2012. It is being introduced across Australia to help children have the best possible start At ACECQA, we have a national focus. We are working to help our children's education and care sector, the regulatory authorities and the community prepare to improve the quality of services. We want to help everyone understand what the changes will mean for them. On this site there is useful information for families, children's education and care services and regulatory authorities.

Application and notification forms are on the Application Forms page. ACECQA holds the archive of resources from the former National Childcare Accreditation Council. We also provide a directory of useful links, such as MyChild.gov.au, where you can search for services and view quality rating information.
